Big Shot and Punch Elf Box

This was a fun project to create (please note, it wasn’t my orignal idea, just my own adaptation.)  I believe the original idea credit goes to Gretchen Baron.  I used the box for pencils, but you can add a bag of candy, licorice, hot cocoa…you name it!

Dies:  Bag With Scallops Bigz XL Die #114519, Top Note #113463

Punches:  Small Oval, 1/2″ circle, 3/4″ circle, Large Oval, Full Heart, Snow Blossom (retired)

  1. Punch out scallop bag and cut off top scallop.  Sandwich for this die:  clear cutting mat, piece of tagboard for thickness, die, blush blossom CS, premium crease pad.
  2. Put box together with sticky strip.
  3. Using the Top Note die, punch a blush blossom, barely banana (you will only need half of this), and old olive top note.
  4. Sponge the 2 top notes with the corresponding color.  Using the pattern, slice off the olive top note to create the hat.
  5. Fold the olive piece over and use a piece of sticky strip to hold.
  6. To create the face, ears, etc… punch the shown pieces and adhere together.  Be sure to sponge the blush pieces as that adds depth.
  7. Sponge on some pink for the cheeks and add a mouth and eyebrows.
  8. Knot the ribbon and attach using glue dots.
