Spring is here….finally! Of course, it snowed on the 1st day of Spring. That’s just not right! But making a few of these little guys helped to get the spring fever going! Everything except the clothespin and the jellybeans are Stampin’ Up! materials. This first one was my original.
Here is one with a little different washi tape combination that one of my club members, Cindy B. created.
There are a few secrets to making this work….
- The wings are made from a clear envelope. Be careful not to fill them too full so that you can squish the envelope together in the center.

- The antennae is made from a paperclip. Just unbend the clip and wrap with washi tape. Cut to the desired length and bend with a pliers.
- Use a piercing tool to poke holes in the top of the clothespin for the antennae and insert them along with a drop of the liquid multi-purpose glue.
- Use the owl punch to punch out the white eyes and a 1/8″ circle punch to punch out the black eyes.
- Punch the mouth using the 1/2″ circle punch.
- Cut out your tag using the Tags & Labels framelits and stamp your saying.
- Add the tag to the butterfly using ribbon.
