Today I’m featuring three projects using my favorite Big Shot toys… embossing folders! Stampin’ Up! added 2 new ones to the new catalog and has brought one into the catalog from the Summer Mini Catalog; Elegant Lines, Vintage Wallpaper, and Square Lattice.
My favorite part about these is how inexpensive they are and how deep an impression they leave. Using the impressions folders is very easy.
Big Shot Sandwich:
- Multipurpose Platform with tab 1 open.
- Clear cutting mat
- Embossing folder with CS inside
- Clear cutting mat
*Do only one piece of CS at a time for best results.

- After you’ve cut-out and scored the card, you’ll want to make an extra front flap using the pumpkin pie card stock. You’ll then run it through your Big Shot machine inside the lattice embossing folder. Add this to the front of the card.
- Stamp the top lid and add the fold lines with the pumpkin pie marker.
- Create your tag with the On Your Birthday stamps and punch out.
- Stamp the inside of the card.
- Add your box lines using the pumpkin pie marker.
- Add your ribbon to the package and tie on the tag.
Amour Card
Stamp Set: Artistic Etchings, p. 125
Designer Paper: Newsprint p. 175
Embossing Folder: Vintage Wallpaper p. 214
- Stamp the Sahara Sand Background with the decorative circle using Sahara Sand ink.
- Stamp the vanilla piece of CS that you are going to use for the Eiffel Tower using the same decorative circle and Sahara Sand ink, only stamp off on the scrap paper for a lighter color.
- Run the Sahara Sand CS (already stamped) through the Big Shot using the embossing folder.
- Stamp the newsprint designer paper using the Cherry Cobbler ink and the decorative circle.
- Line up your designer paper at the back corners of the Sahara sand CS to use as a guide for where you should start tearing the CS.
- Sponge the edge of the tear and add the 2 brads in the bottom corner.
- Stamp your amour on scrap vanilla and punch out with the small oval. Layer on the large oval of Sahara Sand and distress this oval using the distressing tool. Then layer on a black scallop circle.
- Stamp your Eiffel Tower and distress the edges with the distressing tool, then sponge with Sahara Sand. Layer on black.
- Add your ribbon and adhere with mini glue dots.
- Adhere your Amour with dimensional.

Lovely creations Kathy – my favorite too – the Embossing Folders!! TFS
I love the embossing folders too for the same reasons! I used them at my Stamp Clubs this past week and sold Big Shot Machine and lots of folders. Everyone loves them when they use them – including me!
Love your projects. I will definitely have to go to the SUDSOL library and get the cute gift box card template.
Great designs!! I’ll be casing some of them for sure! I enjoyed sharing the tour with you and all of my very talented SUDSOL Sisters!

Love your examples and I love the embossing folders too. You have shown some great ideas for incorporating them into project. I’ll have to case these.
Cute, cute projects. Love the box — great idea. The scalloped owl card is super. TFS
What beautiful cards. I think the Owl is my favorite.
