Simple Watercolor Technique

Today’s topic on SSInkspiration is watercoloring.  Now I like quick and simple and often times watercoloring is not associated with quick and simple, but this card couldn’t be any easier!  I had originally seen this done on my good friend, Melissa Stout’s (aka The Stamp Doc) blog.  After trying it just once, I couldn’t get enough of this technique!

with watermarkDirections:

1.  To begin, place drops of ink refill in a small dish/bowl/paint tray.
2.  Stamp the saying of your choice in Versamark on the Shimmery White CS and emboss in White using your heat tool.
3.  Spritz the Shimmery White CS with water.  Don’t be afraid to be too generous with the water…you can always wipe it off
later.
4.  Pick up refill ink with your aqua painter and brush on the wet card.  Repeat this process with all colors until you achieve
your desired look.
5.  When finished, either allow to dry naturally or use your heat tool to speed up the process.
6.  Punch the butterfly from Vellum Cardstock and adhere to the dried card.
7.  Add some rhinestones for a little bling.

That’s all that’s too it!  I hope you enjoy doing this technique as much as I do!
