Tuesday’s Tip: Sharpening Punches

If you’re like me, punches are a favorite tool.  Anymore, I want all my stamps to have coordinating punches.  Unfortunately, lots of use can eventually dull your punch.  You’ll know it’s dull when punched out edges are no longer smooth.  But of course, there’s a fix and it is most likely in your kitchen!  To sharpen a punch all you need is tin foil.  Here’s what you do…

1.  Fold the foil so that you have multiple layers and punch away.
2.  For best results, after you have you punch sharpened, you can do the same with waxed paper just to smooth things out.  This step is not a must, but many feel it gives the best results.

There you have it, a very simple, inexpensive fix to a very common problem!
